2013 Porsche Boxster Comes to Beverly Hills This Summer

Never before in the history of the Porsche Boxster has a change of generation been so comprehensive. The open-top two-seat car receives an entirely new lightweight body and a completely revamped chassis. The new Boxster weighs less than the previous generation and rides on a longer wheelbase and a wider track. These new dimensions are coupled with larger wheels and a new electromechanical power steering system to significantly enhance the mid-engine sports car's driving dynamics. The new Boxster boasts superior performance and is also up to 15 percent more fuel-efficient than previous models on the European cycle.

The new Boxster benefits not only from an increased wheelbase but also shorter overhangs, while the windscreen has been shifted forward. The passengers are enclosed by the completely redesigned, fully electric top, which now dispenses with a convertible top compartment lid. The interior concept offers the occupants more space and reflects the new Porsche outline with a raked center console, which, originating with the Carrera GT ensures improved ergonomics in all models.

The new sports car generation makes its debut in the classic Porsche pairing of Boxster and Boxster S. Both models are powered by flat-six engines with direct fuel injection, the efficiency of which is further enhanced by electrical system recuperation, thermal management and start/stop function. The base model's new power unit delivers 265 hp from a 2.7 liter displacement - ten hp more than its larger displacement predecessor. Technically, it is now based on the 3.4-liter engine of the Boxster S. This now delivers 315 hp, which is five hp more than before. Both models feature a manual six-speed gearbox as standard with the seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option. Both sports cars achieve their best fuel consumption and acceleration performance with the PDK. With gear changes without interruption to the power flow, the Boxster sprints from zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, the Boxster S in 4.7 seconds.

To enhance driving dynamics yet further, Porsche offers the Sport Chrono Package as an optional extra for the Boxster, featuring dynamic transmission mounts for the first time. Also new in the Boxster is Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear axle differential lock.

Today at the North American International Auto Show, Porsche started off the show with the introduction of the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera S Cabriolet.Development of the new, seventh-generation 911 Carrera and Carrera S Coupes began with a new aluminum-steel body; the Cabriolets continue the evolution with the addition of an all-new, unique top that retains the characteristic 911 coupe roof line. The intelligent lightweight design makes use of magnesium for weight reduction, improved performance and lower fuel consumption. As with the new 911 coupe, Porsche has managed to make the new Cabriolet models up to 132 pounds lighter than their predecessors.

By completely redesigning the convertible top for the new 911 Carrera models, Porsche engineers created a flexible roof comprised of a heated glass rear window with three integrated top elements. Comprised of magnesium bows covered in fabric, they make the convertible top very stable and particularly light.

A water channel on the convertible top helps keep rainwater from dropping into the entry when opening the doors. Actuated by a button on the center console or by the vehicle key the top and opens or closes in approximately 13 seconds, at speeds over 30 mph.

“The USA is and remains an important market for Porsche with good growth prospects,” said Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing. “Detroit was deliberately chosen for the world premiere of the new 911 Cabriolet because the USA is far and away our largest 911 Cabriolet market.” The Coupe variant of the sports car classic will be available in the USA starting in February 2012 with the Cabriolet following a few months later, providing a fresh impetus.

The two new Cabriolets feature the same engine as its Carrera Coupe counterpart. The rear of the 911 Carrera Cabriolet houses a 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine generating 350 horsepower (hp) (257 kW) driving the rear wheels through a seven-gear manual transmission. The open-top Carrera S comes with a 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine developing 400 hp (294 kW) and also has a standard seven-gear manual transmission. The Cabriolets have the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option, helping to deliver even lower fuel consumption and shorter acceleration times.

The new, 2012 911 Carrera Cabriolet will sprint to 60 mph in as little as 4.4 seconds with the optional PDK, accelerating on to its top-track-speed of 176 mph. The 911 Carrera S Cabriolet with PDK will perform the same deeds in as little as 4.1 seconds and reaches a top-track-speed of 185 mph.

With a 3.9-inch longer wheelbase over the outgoing model, a wider front track and the new electro-mechanical power steering, the new Cabriolets offer even sportier driving characteristics, greater precision and agility. Depending on model, there are other standard and optional active control systems available to further enhance the driving dynamics.

The 911 Carrera Cabriolets will be available from Beverly Hills Porsche later in the spring of 2012. The new 2012 911 Carrera Cabriolet will have a base MSRP of $93,700, while the 2012 911 Carrera S Cabriolet base MSRP will be $103,800 (excluding destination).

The New Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

The new 911 Carrera cabriolet can accelerate from 0-60 in as little as 4.4 seconds and achieve a top-track-speed of 177 mph, while the 911 Carrera S cabriolet can reach 60 mph in as little as 4.1 seconds and has a top-track-speed of 187 mph.

Each of the two new cabriolets uses the same engine as their coupe equivalents. The rear of the 911 Carrera houses a 3.4 liter boxer six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection (DFI) generating 350 horsepower (hp), driving the rear wheels through a standard seven-speed manual transmission or an optional PDK dual-clutch automated manual transmission. The open-top Carrera S comes with a 3.8- liter boxer six-cylinder DFI engine developing 400 hp. The open-top 911s are significantly more efficient than their predecessors; both models consume less than 10 L/100 km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) figures will be available closer to the on-sale date.

With the longer wheelbase, wider front track and host of new features just introduced on the 911 Carrera and Carrera S models, the new cabriolet variants offer sportier driving characteristics, greater precision and agility and increased efficiency.

On sale in the spring of 2012, the 911 Carrera Cabriolet MSRP is $93,700, while the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet MSRP begins at $108,000.

Panamera GTS Coming To Beverly Hills Porsche

Live from the Los Angeles AUTO SHOW Porsche debuted the latest concept in go-fast luxury, the Panamera GTS.

The Panamera GTS is the purest expression of a sports sedan in the Porsche family with a clear focus on performance. Soon to be seen on the streets of Beverly Hills!

The new Panamera GTS is based on the Panamera 4S and includes more power, upgraded brakes and a body lowered by ten millimeters with new, sportier chassis tuning coupled to air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). These technical modifications make the Panamera model even more capable of cutting it on the race track without sacrificing practicality. The sportiest of all Panamera models also conveys this to occupants and the outside world by its striking sound. In terms of looks, the new Panamera GTS includes distinctive design features at the front, side and rear as well as black highlights. The interior is also tailored to its sporty personality with adaptive sports seats, SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles and exclusive GTS leather interior with Alcantara surfaces.

The Panamera GTS is powered by a modified 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, delivering 430 hp at 6,700 rpm, increasing the output over the Panamera S/4S by 30 hp. The maximum torque also increases by comparison, from 369 to 384 lb. ft. At the push of a button, thanks to the standard Sport Chrono package, the 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission transmits the engine output to the all-wheel drive system during gear changes without interruption to the power flow. This collaboration enables the Panamera GTS to sprint to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, accelerating on to its top track speed of 178 mph.
The 0-60 figures and top speed only scratch the surface of the new Panamera GTS’s sporty character. Its chassis in particular makes it fit for the race track: the adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) connect the chassis and body, constantly adapting to the driving challenges by regulating leveling settings, adjusting height, modifying the spring rate and electrically modulating the damping system. The body has been lowered by ten millimeters and the damping designed to be tauter, which helps agility and further reinforces the sporty personality of the Panamera GTS. Five millimeter wheel spacers between the wheel and the wheel hubs increase the rear axle track width, giving the Panamera even more stability. The required grip is provided by standard 255/45 size 19-inch tires on the front axle and 285/40 on the rear axle. Optional 20-inch wheels are available with 255/40 tires on the front and 295/35 on the rear.

Deceleration on the sporty Panamera is provided by the braking system from the Panamera Turbo, which includes larger diameter front brake rotors than Panamera S/4S. Like all other Porsche models, the Panamera is available with the optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), featuring brake calipers finished in yellow.

The sports car among Sports Sedans

The Panamera GTS is the purest member of the Porsche Panamera family. The heart of the new Panamera GTS is its upgraded 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine benefiting from numerous modifications to give it even better performance. Compared with the Panamera S/4S, these modifications result in a 30 hp increase in engine output and an increase in torque of 15 lb. ft. to 384 lb. ft. at 3,500 rpm.

To achieve these enhancements, the engineers increased the speed at which the engine reaches peak power by 200 rpm; the GTS’s eight-cylinder engine achieves maximum output at 6,700 rpm. Redline was extended by 400 rpm to 7,100 rpm. The higher engine speed capabilities are enabled by modified valve springs, ensuring that the valves open and shut precisely in all circumstances.

In addition to the increase in redline; the engine in the Panamera GTS employs a higher-flow air intake system. At low speeds, flaps close each of the two air intake openings. At engine speeds above 3,500 rpm, both flaps open and allow additional air flow into the inlet duct. In order to be able to handle the increased flow of combustion air, two new camshafts with a one millimeter increase in lift control the intake valves. As a result, especially at higher revs, the engine draws in more air and, with it, the engine makes more power.

Hearing performance: Sound Symposer transmits intake noises

At the push of the Sport button, driver and passengers can hear the GTS engine “breathing” even more than usual as a ‘Sound Symposer’ directs the intake sounds into the interior. This is accomplished with the addition of an acoustic channel, which picks up the intake vibrations between the throttle valve and air filter. The acoustic channel incorporates a membrane that transmits the vibrations as an engine sound into the A-pillar. A controllable valve located in front of the membrane enables the Sound Symposer to be activated or deactivated by means of the Sport button.

Exhaust gases exit the Panamera GTS through a standard sport exhaust system. This exhaust comes with larger diameter pipes to reduce back pressure and black exhaust tips. This too, is another building block toward increased power output, and one which adds additional aural excitement: the sport exhaust system features two tuning flaps, which expose additional exhaust openings, thereby emitting an even more powerful sound. The flaps are controlled by a switch in the center console, which features a “last mode” function that remembers the last setting when the engine is restarted.

The control of the GTS engine is handled by modified and upgraded engine controls. The new system has been tuned for improved torque and responsiveness. The modified engine management system also enables a brief shutoff of individual cylinders when changing gears, allowing the engine speed to adjust even faster to the transmission speed. This further reduces gear change times and is accompanied a short, sharp report from the exhaust system, particularly audible when downshifting in Sport mode.

Sport Chrono Plus Package for individual sportiness

The Panamera GTS comes standard with the Sport Chrono package, which in addition to Normal and Sport modes offers a Sport Plus program as well. Specific characteristics of the Panamera GTS are further accentuated depending on which mode is selected: for example, activating Sport Plus mode enhances gear-shift parameters and throttle response and includes Launch Control for faster off-the-line acceleration.
Moreover, in Sport Plus mode the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) stabilization system intervenes later. The Sport Plus mode offers even greater agility with the PSM deactivated. For safety’s sake however it remains on permanent standby in the background, intervening automatically if both front wheels are in the ABS control range. In addition, the adaptive air suspension lowers the vehicle to the low setting and switches to a harder spring rate. The rear spoiler angle of attack also changes to the performance-oriented setting.

Options for even greater driving dynamics: PDCC and PTV Plus

Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) is the final level of development of the Panamera GTS chassis, paired with an electronically controlled rear axle differential lock and PTV Plus. PDCC prevents the body from rolling by using active stabilizers on the front and rear axle to apply a counteracting force.
PDCC is further enhanced by Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). The system works by varying the torque distribution to the rear wheels and by employing an electronically regulated rear differential lock, optimizing steering behavior. Braking interventions applied to the inside rear wheel generate an additional rotational pulse in the direction in which the steering wheel has been turned. This results in a direct and dynamic steering action as the car enters the curve.

PTV Plus improves steering behavior and precision by modulating braking interventions to the rear wheels when the car is being driven in a highly dynamic way. When entering a corner, braking force is applied to the inside rear wheel as the steering maneuver begins. This imparts greater drive torque to the outside rear wheel and improves the car’s agility.

Panamera GTS aerodynamics package

The aerodynamics of the Panamera GTS are on par with the Panamera Turbo: with its large air intake openings, the standard front fascia from the Panamera’s SportDesign package emphasizes the vehicle’s sporty dynamics and ensures an optimal air supply for the larger air filters unique to the GTS. This is matched in the rear section by fitting the adaptively deploying four-way rear spoiler from the Panamera Turbo. At speeds of 125 mph and above, it positions itself to generate downforce on the rear axle, thereby ensuring stable driving safety at high speeds.

Exterior: Sporty at first glance

The exterior features a high-gloss black exterior package as standard, comprised of side window trim, decorative trim on the rear lid, the headlight washer unit cover, the rear diffuser and the side air outlet panels. Together with the black front fascia grills, black side skirts, black lower rear fascia the sport exhaust system’s matte black tailpipes, the resulting appearance is striking.
A further point of differentiation: Bi-Xenon headlights with black inner bezels. They feature four LED daytime running lights. Optional paintwork in Carmine Red, available exclusively for the Panamera GTS, emphasizes the vehicle’s sportiness and provides an ideal contrast with the black exterior accessories.

Interior: Acceleration display, unique appointments

The Panamera GTS includes a lateral and longitudinal acceleration display. The multi-function display in the instrument cluster and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system informs the driver about the instantaneous acceleration.

The Panamera GTS’s interior includes leather and Alcantara trimmed seats in a choice of five colors. The standard adaptive 18-way adjustable sport seats feature Alcantara center panels. Alcantara trim is also used on the upper sections of the door armrests and front center console armrest, as well as the roofliner. The SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles and a twelve hour marking on the steering wheel combines dynamic looks with sporty functionality. This steering wheel can also be clad with black Alcantara if so desired. To ensure clear differentiation, the front brushed aluminum door entry guards are adorned with “Panamera GTS” lettering. “GTS” lettering is also found in the instrument cluster and on the embroidered headrests.

Porsche has put together two special optional interior equipment packages for the Panamera GTS. These packages marry a black interior with decorative stitching on the seats, foot mats, dashboard, door panels, center console armrest and doors, executed in Carmine Red or GT silver. Embroidered “GTS” lettering on the headrests and safety belts is also in the corresponding color.

The New Porsche Cajun, Perfect Size For Los Angeles

Will this be the perfect sized SUV for daily life in Los Angeles? We will know very soon. Porsche will be introducing a smaller, city friendly SUV dubbed the "Cajun". Expect to see the Cajun arrive to the Beverly Hills Porsche showroom sometime in early 2014. We are hoping an example will make it to the Los Angeles Auto Show this November 18th!

Porsche Cajun Coming to Los Angeles

Porsche today announced the expansion of its production facility in Leipzig, Germany as the company prepares to produce the “Cajun” model beginning in late 2013. Wolfgang Porsche, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automotive, and Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Board of Management, joined guests from government and business to announce the news in Stuttgart on Tuesday.

“We are investing another $684.9 million in the production facility to build the Cajun in Leipzig. This is not just a mark of confidence in the manufacturing skills of our Leipzig colleagues, but also an important contribution to the economic development of the region,” said Matthias Müller on the morning of the festivities.

The Leipzig site, currently home to 800 employees, has been producing the Porsche Cayenne since its conception in 2002, and also produces the four-seater Porsche Panamera. Porsche has invested approximately $383 million in the Leipzig site, with more than 420,000 cars produced to date.
Production of the “Cajun” will create approximately 1,000 additional jobs at the facility.
The plant sets environmental standards as well, being one of the world’s most efficient car factories. Efficient air recirculation and power cut-off technologies in the paint shop ensure economical energy use.

With the development of the upcoming “Cajun,” Porsche plans to expand its SUV line-up, adding a new, smaller SUV model below the Cayenne.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera: Tradition meets modernity

Stuttgart. At 48, the Porsche 911 Carrera is younger than ever: The completely redesigned generation of the sports car icon is stepping into the limelight with its flat, stretched silhouette, exciting contours and precisely designed details, yet from the very first glance it remains unmistakably a 911. True to the 911 tradition, the distinctive Porsche design language with its tendons and muscles exudes power and elegance.

The 100 millimetre (~ 3.9 inches) longer wheelbase and reduced height combined with the up to 20-inch wheels underpin the athletic appearance. At the same time, the typical sports car compact exterior dimensions were retained. Seen from the front, the eye is drawn to the 911's trademark wide-arched wings. They emphasise the wider front track, so that the new 911 Carrera models sit even more solidly on the road. The remodelled exterior mirrors are accommodated on the upper edge of the door and not as before on the mirror triangle. Not only is this aerodynamically advantageous, it also emphasises the new design line and visual impression of width.

The all-new, lightweight body is an intelligent aluminium-steel construction. It is responsible for a significant proportion of the weight reduction of up to 45 kilograms. Combined with significantly greater rigidity. Aerodynamic optimisation -- including a wider, variably extending rear spoiler -- enabled the new 911 Carrera's lift to be reduced yet further while retaining a very good Cd value.

To complement the modern exterior design, the Porsche designers created an interior, the architecture of which takes its cue from the Porsche Carrera GT. The driver is now even more closely integrated with the cockpit thanks to the centre console rising up to the front with the high-mounted shift lever or gear selector located especially close to the steering wheel in typical motorsport fashion. Classic Porsche elements are also to be found inside, as they are on the outside: the instrument cluster with five round instruments -- one of them a high resolution multifunction screen, the central rev counter and the ignition lock to the left of the steering wheel.

Setting the standard in its class, as it has for generations, the new 911 Carrera and Carrera S raise the performance and efficiency bar yet another notch. All versions get by with significantly less than ten litres of fuel per 100 kilometres (28 mpg imp.). Fuel consumption and emissions are up to 16 per cent lower compared with its predecessor. Among other things, this is achieved by systems and functions such as auto start/stop, thermal management, electrical system recuperation, the world's first seven-speed manual transmission and -- in conjunction with the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) -- sailing as it is called. The new electro-mechanical power steering offers not only Porsche's typical precision and feedback but also helps to increase efficiency and reduce fuel-consumption.

For example, the 911 Carrera with the new 350 hp (~ 257 kW) 3.4-litre boxer engine and optional PDK consumes a mere 8.2 litres per 100 kilometres (~ 34 mpg imp.) based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) -- 1.6 l/100 km (~ 6 mpg imp.) less than its predecessor. Also, at 194 g/km CO2, it is the first Porsche sports car to make it below the 200 g/km mark. With the 911 Carrera S as well, with its 3.8-litre boxer engine and what is now 400 hp (~ 294 kW), fuel consumption when paired with the optional PDK is reduced by 14 per cent or 1.5 l/100 km (~ 5 mpg imp.) to 8.7 l/100 km (~ 32 mpg imp.) despite 15 hp (~ 11 kW) more power. That equates to CO2 emissions of 205 g/km.

At the same time there are performance improvements in both models. The 911 Carrera S with PDK manages to accelerate from nought to 100 km/h (~ 62 mph) in 4.3 seconds. Pressing the Sport Plus button on the optional Sport Chrono package cuts that to 4.1 seconds. The 911 Carrera with PDK needs only 4.6 seconds (Sport Plus 4.4 seconds) to sprint from a standing start to 100 km/h (~ 62 mph).

Michael Mauer, Head, Porsche Design Department - Mauer is responsible for the design and styling of automotive and industrial products. He studied design from 1982 to 1986 at the Polytechnic in Pforzheim, and from there secured his first job in the Design area of Mercedes-Benz AG in Sindelfingen. In 1989 he was appointed Design Project Leader for the Mercedes V Class models, and two years later was in charge of design work for the first SLK model generation. In July 1995 the company appointed him Head of Department and entrusted him with design responsibility for it's A-Class, SLK and SL models.
In 1998 Michael Mauer moved to the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Studio in Tokyo as General Manager, and was intensively involved in advanced development work on various model lines. A year later, he was put in charge of Design at MCC Smart GmbH. In June 2000 he went to the Sweedish Saab company as Executive Director Design, and since March 2003 he has also been responsible for Advanced Design at General Motors Europe.

For the first time, Porsche is challenging many Americans' perception of Porsche sports cars—and in particular the 911—in a new campaign launching today. The “Engineered for Magic. Everyday” campaign, via agency Cramer-Krasselt/Chicago, seeks to show the many dimensions of the iconic Porsche 911 and the brand’s other storied sports cars through the lens of daily driving.

“The magic of Porsche is how thoroughly the cars transform your everyday, routine driving,” said David Pryor, vice president of marketing, Porsche Cars North America. “It’s not only about the weekend joyride. It’s the only car in the world that combines true sports car exhilaration and the drivability for daily use. This campaign brings this fact to life, painting a bigger picture of the real Porsche value proposition, in some cases through the words and images of owners themselves.”

Spanning TV, print, online, mobile, direct mail and a cinema promotion, the campaign drives home the engineering genius that allows these coveted sports cars to be everyday drivers.

“When most people think of Porsche, they think ‘magic’—and the cars certainly are,” said Marshall Ross, chief creative officer, Cramer-Krasselt. ”What is markedly different about this campaign is we’re not selling the dream-car mystique of Porsche -- that’s already a given. The creative challenge here was to tell the truth of the drivability of the car and still make it feel as special as it really is.”

Debuting in selected markets tonight during the NCAA Tournament, the TV spot features vignettes of Porsche sports car owners in a number of seemingly everyday scenes: a parent picking up kids at school, a man running a home-improvement-store errand and a mom clearing away snow from the windshield each with titles re-characterizing the car as “school bus,” “pickup truck” and “snowmobile.” In another vignette, as a man fires up the engine after a long day at the office, we see how the car’s incredible, mood-shifting virtues—as his “getaway car”—complement the everyday ones. The closing voiceover says: “Engineered for Magic. Everyday.”

At the hub of the integrated campaign is a consumer-generated website— PorscheEveryday.com —where owners can share their own everyday stories. With a combination of professionally produced videos and images along with owner-submitted content, the site builds a mosaic showcasing the many ways a Porsche is engineered for everyday magic. For this effort, Porsche has once again reached out to its passionate and active loyalists and enthusiasts to participate and contribute to the story. Last month, to start things off, Porsche sent 200 Flip video cameras to select owners asking them to contribute videos. The brand has also invited input from all its owners, the Porsche Club of America, dealers and their customers, and the million-plus Facebook fans for everyday stories, photos and videos.

In partnership with the Reelz channel, Porsche will also invite amateur film-makers to submit films that demonstrate “daily magic.” Ten filmmakers will be selected to experience daily magic in a Porsche and then make a film about the experience. The winning submission will be shown in cinemas across the country—a first for Porsche—and on the Reelz channel.

TV will run on national cable and print will appear in April issues of newspapers and magazines such as The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Fast Company and Condé Nast Traveler with headlines such as “Turns small errands into short adventures” and “Passion should never take a snow day” – all ending with “Engineered for Magic. Everyday.”

Porsche Makes Official Announcement, Early

The internet has been buzzing and phone calls coming in to the Beverly Hills Porsche showroom asking when the new 911 will arrive. Last week photos were leaked of the new body and interior and teaser videos started appearing on Porsche's official YouTube channel. Today Porsche released some more information. Despite having 997's in the showroom with 2012 on the sticker, Porsche is calling the new body a 2012. The best news is, we can expect to see the evolved sports car tearing up the streets of Los Angeles as early as February 2013.

ATLANTA -- August 23 2011 - At 48, the Porsche 911 Carrera is younger than ever. The completely redesigned seventh-generation sports car icon is stepping into the limelight with its sleek and stretched silhouette, exciting contours and precisely designed features. Yet from every angle it is unmistakably a 911, holding true to the Porsche 911 Carrera ‘evolution, not revolution’ design philosophy.

The 100 mm or 3.9 inch longer wheelbase and reduced overall height underpin the fresh, athletic yet elegant appearance. When viewed from the front, the eye is drawn to the 911’s trademark wide-arched fenders, emphasizing the wider front track. The side mirrors are now mounted on the upper edge of the door, which also helps highlight the new design line and gives the visual impression of width.

The new lightweight body is an aluminum-steel composite construction and contributes greatly to the 45 kg or about 100 lbs weight reduction when compared to the previous 911 body. When combined with the greater structural rigidity and optimized aerodynamics – including a wider, variably extending rear spoiler – the new 911 Carrera’s front and rear lift has been reduced to near zero while retaining the Cd value of 0.29.

To complement the modern exterior design, Porsche designers created an interior reminiscent of the Carrera GT. This is achieved through systems such as the Automatic Start Stop function, engine and transmission thermal management, electrical system recuperation, the world’s first seven-speed manual transmission and – in conjunction with the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) – the ability to ‘sail’ or coast. The new electro-mechanical power steering offers not only Porsche’s typical precision and feedback but also helps increase efficiency and reduce fuel-consumption.

For example, the 911 Carrera with the new 350 hp, 3.4-liter boxer engine and optional PDK consumes 8.2 l/100 km based on the NEDC – 1.6 l/100 km less than its predecessor.

The 911 Carrera S with its 400 hp, 3.8-liter boxer engine – 15 hp more than before – achieves 8.7 l/100 km in the NEDC when paired with the optional PDK transmission. This represents a fuel consumption decrease of 14 percent or 1.5 l/100 km.

2012 Porsche Carrera S Coming to Beverly Hills

At the same time there are performance improvements in both models. The 911 Carrera S with PDK accelerates from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds. Using the Launch Control function of the optional Sport Chrono Package cuts that to 3.9 seconds. The 911 Carrera with PDK needs only 4.4 seconds to sprint from a standing start to 60 mph (4.2 seconds when using the optional Sport Chrono Package’s Launch Control function). Top-track speed for the 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera is 188 mph and 179 mph, respectively.

The new 911 offers both better longitudinal dynamics and unprecedented top performance in terms of transverse dynamics. In addition to the longer wheelbase, the greater agility, precision and driving stability are based, among other things, on the wider front track, the new rear axle and new electro-mechanical power steering. Depending on the model, there are other standard or optional active control systems available that can help further enhance the overall driving dynamics. That is especially true for the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system, available for the first time on the 911 Carrera S. The system helps reduce lateral roll when cornering and helps keep the tires in the optimal position relative to the road surface.

The new 911 further extends the span of seemingly contradictory attributes such as performance and efficiency, sportiness and every day practicality that have always typified the Porsche 911. That makes the 911 Carrera more of a 911 than ever. The new Porsche 911 Carrera celebrates its world premiere at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The first new 911 models will arrive at Beverly Hills Porsche beginning in February of 2012. The new 911 Carrera Coupe will have a base MSRP of $82,100, while the 911 Carrera S Coupe’s base MSRP will be $96,400 (excluding destination). Both models will include substantial additional equipment when compared to the previous models.

Representatives from the Porsche Race Car Classic will be in Monterey later this month for all the car-week madness. Look for folks wearing PRCC logo’d shirts at Laguna Seca, Quail, Bonhams, Concours on the Avenue, and the Pebble Beach Porsche Tent near Retromobile.

There’ll be a staffed tent at Laguna Seca with the latest PRCC merchandise including shirts, hats, and complimentary “trilogy” posters. You will also find staff working a table at The Quail where you can purchase a 2012 Porsche Turbo raffle ticket, or a ticket for the October 16 Race Car Classic event.

The beautiful full-color event poster will be displayed at these locations and in shops along Ocean Avenue in Carmel. And look for the original Race Car Classic painting in an Ocean Avenue Art Gallery!

This course is designed for the woman who enjoys driving and wants to experience the essence of Porsche automobiles as well as enhance her current driving skills. The Women's Only Performance course will not only allow you to pursue your passion for excitement; it will also cater to your need to escape.

The course will begin each day with a fresh breakfast right at the track. Following is a brief classroom session discussing vehicle dynamics and the driving line. Guests are then chauffeured to the paddock where they will begin a series of rotations through the various driving activities. You will experience the Skid Pad, the Performance Driving Techniques exercise, an Autocross as well as spending time on the actual racing surface. Lunch will be served both days in the Patio Room of the fantastic Barber Motorsports Museum. The first afternoon is spent learning the proper driving line, mastering some of the many technical corners of the track and sharpening basic skills during a timed Autocross and Cornering Drill. The morning of day two is dedicated to more on-track sessions and competing in the Michelin Autocross Challenge. Skills are continually refined with track sessions in the afternoon and a visit to the exciting Cayenne off-road course. At the conclusion of day two the group will be invited to tour the incredible collection of motorcycles and unique automobiles on display at the Museum.

Beverly Hills Porsche is now taking orders for the all new Porsche Cayman S Black Edition. Only a few of these limited edition cars will come to Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Porsche has secured the best allocations.

Following on the heels of the recently announced 911 and Boxster S Black Editions, Porsche introduces a new, sporty and limited edition Cayman S arriving late this summer. The 2012 Cayman S Black Edition features a 10-horsepower boost and a long list of standard equipment at an attractive price.

This new mid-engine sports car is only available in solid black and features a monochrome treatment with a black body and black-painted 19-inch Boxster Spyder design wheels. Normally contrasting trim pieces from the Cayman S are also painted for a uniform look: the side air intake grilles are painted black, as are the twin exhaust tailpipes and the model designation on the rear deck lid.

The monochromatic theme continues to the interior where black is the only available color, with aluminum and stainless steel used as accents. The brushed stainless steel door-entry guards feature Black Edition lettering, and the standard SportDesign steering wheel features twin aluminum-look spokes with a rim of smooth-finish black leather. Also painted black are the trim strips on the dashboard and around the six-speed manual shift lever or the gear selector for the optional Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) seven-speed double clutch transmission, while the instrument dials are black instead of the usual white. Two final touches are the Porsche crest embossed on the headrests and a limited-edition badge on the glove compartment.

Cayman S Black Edition - Los Angeles

Like the other Black Editions, the Cayman S Black Edition combines Porsche's popular option packages to deliver additional value to customers. The black-painted exterior and interior touches are part of the Design package available on other Cayman models. The Convenience package, also standard, includes Bi-Xenon headlights with dynamic cornering function, auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, rain sensor and automatic climate control.

The Infotainment package adds a touch-screen Porsche Communication Management system with navigation, BOSE® surround-sound system and XM® Satellite Radio with XM NavTraffic®.

The Black Edition's chassis builds on the foundation of the Cayman S, which already features exceptional balance and handling. The lightest 19-inch wheels in the Porsche lineup are fitted 235/35 ZR 19 tires up front and 265/35 ZR 19 in the rear, providing a visually dynamic upgrade from the standard 18-inch wheels on the regular Cayman S.

A 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection, mounted in front of the rear axle, produces 330 horsepower – 10 more than in the Cayman S – while also delivering excellent fuel economy, particularly when coupled with the optional PDK transmission. With PDK, the Cayman S Black Edition will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.6 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package and reaches a top track speed of 172 mph while achieving EPA estimated fuel economy of 20 city and 29 highway (19/26 when equipped with six-speed manual and top track speed of 173 mph), the same as the Cayman S. In addition to reducing the 0--60 acceleration times by two-tenths, the optional Sport Chrono Package with PDK provides a launch control function and more aggressive Sport and Sport Plus shift strategies.

With the 911 GT3 RS 4.0, one of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart’s most popular, coveted and successful racing pedigree production cars is entering the home straight. Limited to 600 vehicles, the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 brings together in a road car all the attributes that have made the Porsche 911 GT3 a serial winner on the race track. The new model purveys thoroughbred motorsport technology to its innermost core. The flat engine's crankshaft has been lifted unchanged from the 911 GT3 RSR racing car’s six cylinder engine and the forged pistons’ connecting rods are fashioned from titanium. The limited edition 911 is painted white as standard and emphasizes its proximity to motor racing by its dynamic appearance. Porsche Panamera Hybrid Coming to Beverly Hills

Porsche Expands its Hybrid Lineup with the Panamera S Hybrid

The debut of the Panamera S Hybrid adds another important chapter to the Porsche Intelligent Performance philosophy of committing to build new cars that strive to deliver sportier performance with more fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Without sacrificing high-performance or luxury and comfort, this new Panamera model produces 380 horsepower with fuel consumption of only 6.8 L/100 km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), making it the most fuel efficient Porsche of all time.

Official EPA fuel economy estimates for the U.S. will be available closer to the car's on-sale date late this year.

As you would expect from Porsche, the Panamera S Hybrid sets new standards in terms of performance as well as hybrid efficiencies. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds and has a top track speed of 167 mph (270 km/h). Its range in purely electric mode is approximately one mile, with electric-only acceleration possible up to just over 50 mph (85 km/h).

The Porsche parallel full hybrid system also reduces consumption at high speeds thanks to its ‘sailing’ or coasting mode. When the driver lifts off the accelerator at normal highway cruising speeds, the gasoline engine is completely switched off and disengaged from the drivetrain by a decoupling clutch. This eliminates the combustion engine’s drag forces and braking effect in the interest of lower resistance, fuel consumption and emissions. As soon as the driver presses the accelerator, to pass another vehicle for example, the gasoline engine smoothly starts within fractions of a second and engine rpms are increased to match the current vehicle speed. It does this seamlessly thanks to the Hybrid Manager, which also helps the Panamera S Hybrid accelerate dynamically in gears at higher speeds.

The Panamera S Hybrid employs a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine that delivers 333 horsepower. It is supported by a 47-horsepower (34 kW) electric motor. Depending on driving conditions, either drive unit can operate independently or together to drive the rear wheels. The electric motor, which also serves as the car's generator and starter, combines with the decoupling clutch to form the compact hybrid module located between the combustion engine and the transmission. The electric motor is connected to a nickel metal hydride (NiMh) battery that stores electric energy recovered from braking and other driving situations. The transmission is the same eight-speed Tiptronic S fitted in the Cayenne models, with a wide range of gear ratios.

The Panamera S Hybrid has an even higher level of standard equipment than the V8 Panamera S that includes Adaptive Air Suspension with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive shock absorber system, Servotronic® variable-assist power steering and a host of other features. This new model also features an innovative display that provides the driver with relevant information about the status of the vehicle's hybrid drive systems.

The Panamera S Hybrid will go on sale in the United States later in 2011 at a base suggested retail price of $95,000 (excluding destination).

World's First Hybrid is Incredibly Recreated

In 1900, history came to life when Professor Ferdinand Porsche built the first functional hybrid car. Aptly called Semper Vivus, which means “Always Alive” this historic car has been resurrected 111 years later by Porsche as a tribute to this acclaimed engineer’s visionary thinking.

The fully functional Semper Vivus replica pictured above, based on original drawings and exhaustive research, is a collaborative effort between Porsche Engineering and Karosseriebau Drescher, a coachbuilding company based in Hinterzarten in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its masterful design impresses onlookers to this very day, and for the first time in the United States it is on display at the New York Auto Show press day on April 20.

In November 2007 the Porsche Museum embarked on one of the most interesting and challenging projects in its history: the construction of a faithful replica of the 1900 Lohner-Porsche Semper Vivus. Even 111 years after its invention, building the world's first functioning hybrid car was a great challenge for all. Ultimately it was not just about an extreme attention to visual details but also achieving the same driving performance as the original.

The Porsche Museum entrusted the workmanship to a team of experts led by coachbuilder Hubert Drescher, who had already proven his competence in numerous difficult restoration projects. As with a number of racing car projects, the aluminum body of the Porsche Type 64 museum exhibit originates from the Hinterzarten coachbuilder workshop, as well.

Exhaustive research in various archives the across Europe was the first step. The outcome was a handful of black-and-white photos and an original technical drawing serving as the project's foundation. As with Prof. Porsche, the Semper Vivus replica initially began as a blank sheet of paper.

This meant that in addition to a good deal of imagination, the project required extensive research and calculations in order to be faithfully recreate an accurate and working likeness of the electric wheel-hub motor. Since no specifications or other helpful records had survived, experts initially created ready reckoners and design drawings on graph paper in the time-honored fashion. This involved the painstaking study and laborious measurement of photos and drawings. As there was no functioning wheel hub motor in existence, technical details such as performance and range had to be resurrected and calculated from scratch.

The replica car's genius rivals what it took to build the original. What can be seen now took three years to build and ingenious engineering and craftsmanship, as well as a treasure hunt for original parts, including some for the combustion engine.

Today, Prof. Porsche's innovative spirit lives on at Porsche, as a priceless historical creation and as an inspiration for the company's commitment to developing new and ever-more advanced hybrid systems.

A friend shared a link today of a young guy dancing with wild abandon in an Apple store to a Lady Gaga song. After watching a few seconds of this kid bouncing around I started to move around in my chair. By the end of the video I felt like dancing. I think I may have spun my chair around once or twice.

It got me thinking about how we all have the incredible ability to affect the way others feel just by our actions. Body language, voice tone and facial expressions all have the power to make people comfortable or uneasy. So starting today I'm going to do my Porsche Store dance before I start my shift. I'm going to approach every customer, co-worker and manager with a smile and a bounce in my step. We're selling the world's most desirable and fun to drive cars so why shouldn't we be excited?!

Porsche Panamera Turbo S Coming to Beverly Hills

With its new four-door Panamera Turbo S, Porsche once again raises the bar for sporty four-door luxury cars by delivering ultra high performance and efficiency, sports-car-like driving dynamics and first-class comfort in a purely Porsche package.

Porsche will reveal its most powerful Panamera for the first time in North America on April 20, 2011 at the New York International Auto Show.

The engine in the new top-of-the-line Panamera is based on the already proven and powerful twin-turbocharged V8 engine in the Panamera Turbo. The 4.8 liter, V8 engine in the Turbo S achieves a maximum output of 550 horsepower, which is 10 percent more than the 500 horsepower delivered by the Panamera Turbo. The torque is also increased over the Turbo from 516 lb-ft to 553 lb-ft. In the "Sport" and "Sport Plus" mode of the standard Sport Chrono Package Turbo, the overboost function temporarily generates additional torque with a peak rating of 590 lb.-ft.

The power increase delivered in the Panamera Turbo S can be attributed to two main enhancements: improved twin turbochargers with titanium–aluminum turbines and a modified engine control. Titanium–aluminum reduces the turbine and compressor wheel's weight, which results in a quicker turbo response that improves the engine's agility.

The formidable powerplant that lies beneath the hood of the Panamera Turbo S is capable of propelling it to sports-car sprint times. With the help of Launch Control, the newest Panamera can reach 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The top track speed is 190 mph. And despite this increased performance, fuel consumption is expected to remain comparable to the Panamera Turbo that delivers an EPA rating of 15 mpg city/23 mpg highway (18 mpg combined). Official EPA-certified fuel economy figures for the Panamera Turbo S will be available when the car goes on sale in North America.

Even for a world-class luxury car, the Panamera Turbo S boasts an extraordinarily high level of comprehensive features. In keeping with its sporty concept, it comes equipped with the most important driving-dynamic control systems. For example, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) is an active anti-roll system that significantly reduces lateral body movement during corning, which enhances stability, handling and overall occupant comfort. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is also standard and works to help ensure superior traction and higher-performance cornering by applying a variable torque split to the rear wheels in combination with an electronically controlled rear differential lock. Also standard is Porsche’s advanced speed-sensitive Servotronic steering system, a sports exhaust system, and the Sport Chrono Package Turbo that further tunes the engine and suspension at the touch of the “Sport Plus” button.

While the sporting character of the new Panamera Turbo S is most apparent behind the wheel, the car's exterior tastefully exudes its high-performance ambitions. The new 20-inch Turbo II wheels with increased rear axle track width, side skirts from the Porsche Exclusive range and the adaptive four-way extending rear spoiler express the car's elite performance abilities. Inside, the fusion of exclusivity and sportiness is conveyed in the interior by the standard bi-color leather finish. A new combination of black/cream is offered exclusively for the new Panamera Turbo S with Agate Grey/cream also being added as an exclusive option later this year. Beverly Hills Porsche in Los Angeles Now Taking Orders for 2013 Porsche 918 Spyder

Beverly Hills Porsche is pleased to announce that after outstanding customer response to the concept car first shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and later at Pebble Beach and Monterey California, Porsche today announced that we can begin taking customer orders for the 918 Spyder! This is a significant step toward actual production of the company's next super sports car, a Porsche that marries unique plug-in hybrid technology and outstanding performance in a visually stunning and purely Porsche package.

The 918 Spyder will feature a high revving 500-plus horsepower V8 engine assisted by two electric motors with a total of at least 218 horsepower, yet Porsche estimates it will consume only 3.0 L/100 km based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Official EPA fuel economy figures or estimates will be announced just before the first customer cars begin arriving in the United States near the end of 2013.

To ensure the 918 Spyder's worldwide exclusivity, Porsche will produce no more than 918 examples. Start of production at Porsche's famed factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is planned for Sept. 18, 2013 (9/18), and the U.S. base manufacturer's suggested retail price is $845,000 (excluding destination and handling charges).

With its design inspired by past Porsches like the Carrera GT super sports car and the legendary 917 and highly successful RS Spyder race cars, the 918 Spyder remains faithful to the 2010 concept car. Unlike the concept car, the two-seat production version, based on a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic monocoque, will feature a manual roof system with removable panels that can be stored in the front luggage compartment.

Super high performance with very low fuel consumption and emissions

The 918 Spyder will be powered by a unique plug-in hybrid system that will include a high-revving, mid-mounted V8 engine with capacity of more than 4.0 liters and producing at least 500 horsepower. The engine will be based on the Porsche RS Spyder racing engine that demonstrated its impressive performance and efficiency through multiple Michelin Green X Challenge victories in the American Le Mans Series, the Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Power will be transferred to the rear wheels via Porsche's compact, seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch gearbox.

Two electric motors – one each on the front and rear axles – together will provide approximately 218 additional horsepower. This configuration also will offer an innovative, variable all-wheel drive system with independent control of the drive forces on both axles. Electrical energy will be stored in a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery that can be recharged from a standard household outlet. Electric-only driving range is expected to be more than 16 miles on the NEDC. Recharge time will depend on each country's electrical power network, but charging is expected to take about seven hours at 110V/10A in the United States. A quick-charge option is being evaluated to further reduce charging times.

Porsche 918 Spyder

With anticipated combined fuel consumption of just 3.0 L/100 km on the NEDC, this equates to CO2 emissions of only 70 g/km or 112 g/mile. On the other hand, the Porsche 918 Spyder will deliver super sports car performance. It is estimated that the final production version will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 3.1 seconds on its way to an estimated top track speed of 199 mph. It should also tackle Germany's famed Nürburgring Nordschleife in less than 7 minutes and 30 seconds, two seconds faster than the Porsche Carrera GT. Under the right conditions, the 918 Spyder will be able to drive on electric power alone at speeds up to 94 mph for limited distances.

Customers who order the 918 Spyder also have the opportunity to acquire a special-edition 911 Turbo S Coupe or Cabriolet. Also limited to no more than 918 units, the 911 Turbo S Edition 918 Spyder will have exterior and interior design elements echoing the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder supercar's styling. It features similar exterior colors, carbon-fiber elements inside and out, enhanced leather equipment and numerous acid-green accents on items such as the brake calipers, illuminated sill plates, interior stitching and instrument cluster needles. A limited-edition badge on the glove compartment door will feature the same production number as the customer's 918 Spyder.

Beverly Hills 918 Spyder customers can begin ordering this special edition 911 Turbo S sports car today, and customer deliveries will start later in 2011. The U.S. base manufacturer's suggested retail prices for the Coupe and Cabriolet versions are the same as the standard 911 Turbo S models, $160,700 and $172,100 respectively, excluding destination.

What To Do In An Earthquake, A Practical Guide

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of our friends and family in Japan. As we watch the events unfold on TV we must refresh our knowledge of earthquake preparedness. The State of California Department of Conservation has compiled the following earthquake guide.

Be Prepared: Before, During and After an Earthquake

Do you know how to prepare for and survive a major earthquake? According to Department of Conservation scientists, it will be critical to have the right answer to that question somewhere in California sometime in the coming years.

Many people think having bottled water on hand is a good idea. That’s true, as long as you have enough. Many are certain that standing in a doorway during the shaking is a good idea. That’s false, unless you live in an unreinforced adode structure; otherwise, you're more likely to be hurt by the door swinging wildly in a doorway or trampled by people trying to hurry outside if you’re in a public place.

How to be Prepared

Electricity, water, gas and telephones may not be working after an earthquake. The police and fire departments are likely to be tied up. You should be prepared to fend for yourself for at least three days, preferably for a week.
You'll need food and water (a gallon a day per person); a first aid kit; a fire extinguisher suitable for all types of fires; flashlights; a portable radio; extra batteries, blankets, clothes, shoes and money (ATMs may not work); medication; an adjustable or pipe wrench to turn off gas or water, if necessary; baby and pet food; and an alternate cooking source (barbecue or camp stove). This list can also be applied to other disasters, such as floods or wildfires.
It’s also a good idea to decide beforehand how and where your family will reunite if separated during a quake and to conduct in-home practice drills. You might choose an out-of-the-area friend or relative that family members can call to check on you.
Securing water heaters, major appliances and tall, heavy furniture to prevent them from toppling are prudent steps. So, too, are storing hazardous or flammable liquids, heavy objects and breakables on low shelves or in secure cabinets.
Discuss earthquake insurance with your agent. Depending on your financial situation and the value of your home, it may be worthwhile.

During an Earthquake

If you're indoors, stay there. Get under -- and hold onto --a desk or table, or stand against an interior wall. Stay clear of exterior walls, glass, heavy furniture, fireplaces and appliances. The kitchen is a particularly dangerous spot. If you’re in an office building, stay away from windows and outside walls and do not use the elevator.
If you're outside, get into the open. Stay clear of buildings, power lines or anything else that could fall on you.
If you're driving, move the car out of traffic and stop. Avoid parking under or on bridges or overpasses. Try to get clear of trees, light posts, signs and power lines. When you resume driving, watch out for road hazards.
If you're in a mountainous area, beware of the potential for landslides. Likewise, if you're near the ocean, be aware that tsunamis are associated with large earthquakes. Get to high ground.
If you’re in a crowded public place, avoid panicking and do not rush for the exit. Stay low and cover your head and neck with your hands and arms.

After an Earthquake

Check for fire or fire hazards. If you smell gas, shut off the main gas valve. If there's evidence of damage to electrical wiring, shut off the power at the control box.
If the phone is working, only use it in case of emergency. Likewise, avoid driving if possible to keep the streets clear for emergency vehicles.
Be aware that items may fall out of cupboards or closets when the door is opened, and also that chimneys can be weakened and fall with a touch. Check for cracks and damage to the roof and foundation of your home.
Listen to the radio for important information and instructions. Remember that aftershocks, sometimes large enough to cause damage in their own right, generally follow large quakes.
If you leave home, leave a message telling friends and family your location.

ATLANTA – March 8, 2011 — Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca today announced Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV will take place at the famed California racetrack the weekend of October 14 – 16, 2011.

Sponsored by PCNA, Rennsport Reunion IV brings together an unprecedented gathering of significant Porsche vintage and current race cars, as well those who have driven them to victory in the world’s most famous sports car races. The three-day program of on-track competition is complemented by a concours d’elegance, which is open to invited race participants, and special activities celebrating the decades-long history of the legendary 911 race cars.

After the highly successful staging of three venues in the East, held every three years, with the first one held in Lime Rock in 2001, Rennsport Reunion IV will now be moving west, tapping a vast array of car aficionados and Porsche enthusiasts.

Special tribute will be paid to the numerous racing versions of the Porsche 911 and their countless victories on the dawn of what will become another milestone of this iconic sports car from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.

Porsche Shows World's First and Next Hybrid at Porsche Museum

From the beginning of the 20th century, the name Porsche has been associated with pioneering innovations in automotive engineering. Ferdinand Porsche, the founding father of the present-day Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, entered uncharted territory in 1900 with the creation of the first fully-functional hybrid car in the world, the 'Semper Vivus' ('always alive').

In a stunning four-year project the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart has recreated the Semper Vivus to its original glory. One-hundred eleven years after Ferdinand Porsche’s ground breaking innovation, the Semper Vivus will commemorate Porsche’s lengthy dedication to ground-breaking hybrid technology with an appearance at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It will subsequently be on display as part of the Porsche Museum collection in Stuttgart.

In addition, Porsche has recently announced that a second production hybrid will follow the Cayenne S Hybrid SUV, the Panamera S Hybrid. Deriving its total power output of 380 hp from a three-liter V6 supercharged engine and a 47 hp electric unit, the Panamera S Hybrid’s total fuel consumption is 6.8 l/100 km. That equates to CO2 emissions of just 159 g/km, making it the most economical Porsche of all time.

Porsche Black Edition Boxster S Coming to Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills Porsche is pleased to announce the Porsche Boxster model line has a new luxurious top model in addition to the sporty Boxster Spyder: The Boxster S Black Edition limited to 987 cars. With its 320 hp – ten hp more than the Boxster S – this edition offers a substantially larger range of standard equipment and exclusive special options, all at a very attractive price. The new mid-engined sports car is black all over: Black body, black hood, and black 19 inch Boxster Spyder wheels accentuate the muscular appearance of the top roadster. The Boxster S Black Edition will be launched in March 2011 and should arrive in Beverly Hills early in the month.
The color concept of the Boxster S Black Edition is consistent in every detail. The rear side air intake grilles are painted in black as is the twin tailpipe of the exhaust system. The model lettering painted in black on the rear luggage compartment lid identifies the Black Edition as much as the embossed Black Edition model designation on the side of the fabric hood. The roll-over bars are painted in black, too.

The black line of the exterior is continued in the interior. The stainless steel door entry guards feature the "Black Edition" model lettering in black. The standard Sport Design steering wheel with its double-spoke appeal has a non-slip rim of smooth-finish leather and sporty grips. The trim strips of the dashboard and of shift lever or gear selector are painted in black. The dials on the instrument cluster are black as are the partial leather seats with the Porsche emblem embossed in the headrests. Also available upon request: black leather interior. The limited edition badge on the glove compartment identifies the sports car as a model of the Black Edition.

As a standard, the Boxster S Black Edition features the otherwise optional "Comfort", "Infotainment", and "Design" equipment packages, and therefore comes at a more favorable price than a series model with comparable equipment options. The wind deflector is on board right from the factory as are the anti-dazzle interior and exterior mirrors with integrated rain sensor, cruise control and a climate control system. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including navigation module are also standard. In addition, the universal audio interface and mobile phone preparation are available as standard. The Sound Package Plus creates an impressive interior sound experience. The standard Bi-Xenon lights with dynamic cornering lights and LED daytime running lights ensure driving pleasure and safety on dark roads. Upon request, the Boxster S Black Edition can be individualized even further with other options of the Boxster program. For example, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) is an option as well as the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and the adaptive sports seats with memory function.

The chassis of the Boxster S Black Edition features clear lines with a sporty appeal. A decisive contribution to improve driving dynamics of the limited edition models even further are the tires size 235/35 ZR 19 front and 265/35 ZR 19 rear on particularly lightweight wheels in the special ten-spoke design of the Boxster Spyder. As is typical for a Boxster, the new top model of the mid-engined sports car with its low center of gravity as a result of the flat engine reaches an even more impressive level of agility.

A 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection, mounted in front of the rear axle of the Boxster S Black Edition, supplies power to the car. Its output is 320 hp – ten hp more than in the Boxster S. The engine reaches its rated power at 7,200 rpm, the Boxster S power pack at 6,400 rpm. Torque of 370 Nm boosted by ten newton meters is available at 4,750 rpm.

More output and more power equal more dynamics: The Boxster S Black Edition underpins its leading position by a superior driving performance. With its standard six-speed manual transmission, it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds, a tenth of a second faster than the Boxster S. The top model reaches its maximum speed at 171.5 mph, outpacing the Boxster S by 1.2 mph. The mid-engined sports car is modest only in its thirst for fuel. During the NEDC test cycle, the Boxster S Black Edition contents itself with as much fuel as the Boxster S: 28.82 mpg.

To raise dynamics and efficiency even further, the Boxster S Black Edition may alternatively also be fitted with the seven-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK). This will shorten acceleration times from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) to 5.1 seconds, the top speed with PDK is 170.3 mph. In comparison with a manual transmission, an additional speed and an intelligent shifting strategy lower fuel consumption to 9.4 litres per 100 kilometres during the NEDC complete cycle.

This 3-day (Friday-Sunday) event features a Zone 8 Time Trial event along with PCA Club Race warm up and practice laps Friday and Saturday. In addition, the 1-hour PCA Enduro will be on Saturday as well as the first PCA Club Race. Sunday will feature warm up, and qualifying PCA Club Race sessions as well as Sprint Races. There will be Time Trial sessions and timing on Sunday as well.

Los Angeles Porsche dealers got up early to watch a live broadcast form the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The big announcement; a 767 bhp hybrid super car badged the 918 RSR Racing Lab.

Nobody expected this. There was no advance notice. There were no empty promises. There is no turning back: with the 911 GT3 R Hybrid, the future of motorsports began for Porsche in 2010. ‘Year Zero’ of the hybrid age on the racetrack. After several races we could well say: mission accomplished, theory substantiated. But that’s not enough for us. Our most important finding: Hybrid can do more.

This is the racing version of the Porsche 918 Spyder, the Hybrid Super Car scheduled to be in production, its badged with the number “22” in honor of the Le Mans record setting Porsche 917 of 1971.

In Germany, three Porsche sports cars top the list of the models with the best value retention, as Deutsche Automobil Treuhand (DAT) has now revealed in a projection. According to its findings the Porsche 911 holds its value better than any other model on the German market, followed by the Boxster and the Cayman. Other-make cars only start to appear from fourth place down.

In Australia, a jury comprising eleven motor journalists from the “Sydney Morning Herald”, “The Age” and “drive.com.au” voted the Porsche Boxster the best convertible and chose it as winner of the “Drive Car of the Year Award”. The mid-engine sports car had already won this distinction in the previous year and once again impressed the testers mainly thanks to its “sensational performance when cornering and braking, its characteristic six-cylinder engine and the astonishingly practical and brilliant Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK)”.

In the UK, the car magazine EVO voted the Porsche 911 GT3 RS “Car of the Year 2010”, stealing the thunder from a whole host of high-calibre competitors with its authentic handling. It even beat the 911 GT2 RS, which came in third, making Porsche the only brand to appear twice in EVO’s top ten favourites list. And car tester Richard Hammond from the popular UK TV programme “Top Gear” also selected the 911 GT2 RS as his personal “Car of the Year”. “Top Gear” presented another award to Porsche Development Director Wolfgang Dürheimer, whom it named “Man of the Year” in recognition of the energy-efficient but supercar-worthy concept of the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, Honorary Chair of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, celebrated his 75th birthday on 11 December 2010. As a designer of true genius, F.A. Porsche was the creator of such legendary automobiles as the 904 Carrera GTS, or the Porsche 911. After stepping down from the management of Porsche KG, in 1972 he founded the “Porsche Design“ Studio, and achieved worldwide fame and recognition as an independent product designer.

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche was born on 11 December 1935 in Stuttgart, the eldest son of Dorothea and Ferry Porsche. As a child his world was already being influenced by automobiles, with him spending a lot of time in the design offices and development workshops of his grandfather Ferdinand Porsche. In 1943 the family, together with the company of Porsche, relocated to Austria, where he went to school in Zell am See. After returning to Stuttgart in 1950, he passed the final school examination, the “Abitur”, at the Waldorf School, and registered at the College of Design in Ulm. In 1958 F.A. Porsche joined the design department of what was at that time Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche KG.

His talent for design very soon became apparent when, with the Type 754 “T7“, he formally presented to the world the direction which was to be followed in the succession to the 356 Series. In 1962 he took charge of the management of the Porsche Design Studio, and one year later took the world by storm with the Porsche 901 (also referred to as the 911). As well as passenger cars, F.A. Porsche was also deeply involved in the design of the racing cars of the 1960’s. Among his most famous designs were the Formula One Type 804 racer, or the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS, which motoring fans have always regarded as one of the finest and most beautiful racing vehicles ever made.

With the conversion of Porsche KG into a share company in 1971/72, F.A. Porsche and all the other family members stepped aside from the operational business of the company. As a shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board, he oversaw the development of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG for many years, and from 1990 to 1993 he served as the Chair of the Supervisory Board. In 2005 he passed the mantle of responsibility as a Porsche AG Supervisory Board member to his son Oliver, and took on the position of Honorary Chair of the Board.

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded the “Porsche Design Studio“ in Stuttgart in 1972, the headquarters being relocated to Zell am See in Austria in 1974. Over the decades which followed he designed a wide range of classic men’s accessories, such as watches, spectacles, and writing implements, which achieved worldwide fame under the brand name “Porsche Design“. In parallel with this, he and his team, using the trademark “Design by F.A. Porsche“, created a large number of industrial products, domestic appliances, and consumer goods for internationally famous clients. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche has been acclaimed for his work as a designer by the bestowing of many honours and awards.

In autumn 2003 F.A. Porsche and the other shareholders of “Porsche Design“, together with Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, founded the Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (PLH, Porsche Licence and Trading Company). The aim of this company is to make best use of the potential of the name Porsche in sectors which go beyond the automobile. The focus here is on the trademark “Porsche Design“, which in recent years has developed to become one of the world’s leading brand names in luxury articles, with its own marketing network.

Porsche Cayenne, Motor Trend's 2011 Sport Utility Of The Year

Beverly Hills Porsche customers started voting for their favorite SUV last month when the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo went on sale. Both models have been selling as fast as Porsche can deliver them. Last week the Cayenne V6 arrived and near the end of November the Cayenne Hybrid drive will go on sale. For those customers still waiting for a good reason to place their orders...

Motor Trend announced today that the Porsche Cayenne SUV is the winner of its coveted 2011 Sport/Utility of the Year. When Porsche's Cayenne first vied for the award in December 2003, the writers at Motor Trend said that they found its many sporting charms resistible. But the technical enhancements made between then and now are compelling.

The initial lineup of two engines has expanded to five powertrains. The V-6s include a free-breathing, 300-horsepower, 3.6-liter that can be paired with a six-speed manual or Tiptronic transmission and a supercharged 3.0-liter gas-electric hybrid that cranks out a combined 380 horsepower and earns big efficiency points by sipping fuel at the rate of 21 mpg city/25 highway. All engines feature direct injection; all automatics get eight ratios; and an auto-stop feature on all models turns the engine off when stopped to improve real-world efficiency, if not EPA figures. Two 4.8-liter V-8s round out the roster, making 400 and – in twin-turbo trim – 500 horsepower.

Beverly Hills' Sweet Smell Of Success Now For Sale, 9021-Eau

The City of Beverly Hills has partnered with JT Brands to create a line of perfumes that will be marketed as the official scents of Beverly Hills. The perfumes will retail in department stores for $120 each, starting in January.

Geoffrey Thompson, managing director of JT Brands, said he thinks Beverly Hills is a natural brand. "Very few cities could do this," he said. "People have reverence for Beverly Hills. It captures the imagination of visitors from overseas."

In an official press release now turned LA Times story the idea came to the city's leaders a while ago.

The project has been two years in the making, delayed slightly by the recession, which also caused the retail prices to be lowered somewhat, Thompson said.

The company went to pains to ensure the scents are authentically Beverly Hills. Perfumiers used flowers grown in the city, including California species of wild rose, sweet pea, honeysuckle, peony and red cedar.

The three fragrances are designed to "evoke what life is like for the Beverly Hills woman," Thompson said. "Must Have" will be for the spontaneous, energetic day in the sunshine, "Rodeo" for the red-carpet evening, and "Iconic" for the sexy, soft, playfulness of the night.

One luxuriously successful scent the city may have overlooked is New Porsche Interior. However we've heard that the city is exploring launching a men's cologne later next year so there is still hope. Rita Rudner would be proud!

Top Gear Guys in NYC Play Rough

It's almost painful to watch the boys of BBC's Top Gear trying to maneuver a brand new Porsche GT3 RS, Mercedes SLS AMG and Ferrari 458 Italia through a construction zone in New York City.

James May squeezes into the Ferrari followed by Jeremy Clarkson in the Mersedes SLS. Both men attempt to guide their super cars off a driveway onto a NYC road devoid of the first three inches of asphalt. Richard "The Hamster" Hammond, the lightest man in the lightest car, pilots his Porsche GT3 RS with the front axle lift engaged. It still isn't enough to keep the Porsche from scraping the lower lip across the rough road-base. Cringe-fest for any exotic car fan. Thanks BBC for the goosebumps!

Porsche GT2 RS Coming to Beverly Hills Porsche

Porsche announced North American allocations for the 2011 911 GT2 RS and Beverly Hills Porsche will be receiving a precious few cars this go-round. Los Angeles represents one of the largest markets for Porsche so it's no surprise we will be seeing multiple units delivered here. This limited production GT2 RS marks yet another important milestone in Porsche's determination to create and build the ultimate supercars.

From the official Porsche press release:

The time: seven minutes, 18 seconds on the Nürburgring-
Nordschleife.

The power: 620 hp.

The weight: 3,021 lb in road trim with all fluids on board.

The car: the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

The GT2 RS made its world debut at the Moscow Auto Show on August 25th. The future top GT model marking the absolute climax in the 911 range is the fastest and most powerful road-going sports car ever built in the history of Porsche With power up by 90 hp and weight down by 154 lb in comparison with the 911 GT2, the new 911 GT2 RS has a power-to-weight ratio of just 4.9 lb per horsepower, by far the best power/weight ratio in its class. Obviously, these are the ideal ingredients for an ultra-high-performance sports car with supreme agility, truly blistering performance on the road, and of course exemplary Porsche Intelligent Performance. For despite this extra power and performance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions versus the 911 GT2 are down by approximately 5% to 23.7 mpg and 284 g/km.

The 3.6 liter six-cylinder boxer engine boosted by two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry exclusive to Porsche in its combination with a gasoline engine drives the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. Developed especially for the 911 GT2 RS, sports tires measuring 325/30 ZR 19 convert this massive power into equally massive performance and acceleration on the road: 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0 to 124 mph in just 9.8 seconds, and 0 to 186 mph in 28.9 seconds. Top speed is 205 mph.

Equally supreme stopping power on this ultra-high-performance sports car comes from PCCB composite ceramic brakes. Appropriate longitudinal and crosswise dynamics are ensured by the sporting RS set-up of the springs, PASM Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management, anti-roll bars, as well as the dynamic engine mounts and PSM Porsche Stability Management.
In its looks the new 911 GT2 RS stands out clearly from the 911 GT2 above all through the lavish use of carbon-fiber-reinforced (CFR) components in matte-black surface finish, even wider wheels and flared wheel arches at the front, new 911 GT2 light-alloy wheels with central locking, as well as ”GT2 RS“ model designations on the doors and rear lid. The upgraded front spoiler lip and the rear spoiler lip made of CFR and is now almost 0.4 inches higher, again in surface carbon finish, ensure the right aerodynamic precision as well as extra downforce.

The interior also exudes the flair of sporting performance in virtually every detail, featuring lightweight bucket seats made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic in carbon surface finish and lightweight door panels with door opening straps. The basic interior color is black, contrasting attractively with features such as the seat center sections and the roof lining as well as segments on the steering wheel rim. The gearshift and handbrake lever are both finished in red Alcantara suede.

Limited to just 500 units worldwide, the 911 GT2 RS goes on sale at Beverly Hills Porsche starting in October 2010. Planned MSRP will start at $245,000.

Porsche 918 Spyder is a Hit in Monterey!

What a great weekend in Monterey!

Porsche invited a select group of Porsche owners up to Monterey, California during Car Week for a very special encounter with the 918 Spyder Hybrid Concept. Potential customers were escorted to a super secret location, a private aircraft hanger, where the 918 Spyder was displayed with minimal distractions. The high-tech stage was lit from below with a soft green light and lit from above with clean white halogen and all you saw when you entered the room was the 918 in all its glory.

Each visitor was assigned a personal guide that presented the car's features and answered all of their questions including the inevitable, "When can I get mine?" To which the answer was always, "The 918 has just been approved for production. We'll be keeping you informed of the progress." Some rumors are floating around that we should see the 918 debut as a 2015 model in 2014. Hard to say for sure, but for now we are just happy that Porsche confirmed that the car will indeed be produced.

The guides informed us that several changes will be made to the final version but what we were shown is very VERY close to what will be offered in the Beverly Hills Porsche showroom. The side pipes will most likely move to the rear and Porsche designers will rework the rear fascia to accommodate a license plate. The 22" wheels will be replaced with 20" rims and if they can't get the super cool rear-view cameras approved by EU and USA DOTs we'll see a mirrors instead. I for one hope they are able to keep the cameras!

Power is expected to increase from the petrol engine and as E-Drive development advances we may see some changes with final electric motor BHP outputs. The biggest challenge right now is to find a way to keep the car super light. Porsche hopes that battery technology they are experimenting with will save precious pounds in the production version.

The press had their own time with the car and were treated to a chance to see the car in motion. J.F. Musial and crew shot this amazing video of the 918 Spyder on the beautiful back-roads of Monterey as Michael Mauer, Head of Design for Porsche narrates.

My favorite quote, "There were big, big question marks about the future of these types of cars, and therefore as well the future of the Porsche brand ... so therefore we wanted to have this symbol that there is a future."

Celebrity Porsche fans like California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jay Leno were also treated to VIP showings. The absolute highlight for me was to see Jay wave the exhaust up to his nose like a Master Chef testing the bouquet of a prized dish. The expression on his face was priceless. You can see his gesture on the "Jay Leno's Garage" video below.

On Sunday Porsche treated the public to a display during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Michael Mauer drove the car up to the display area while Porsche fans from all around the world watched in wonder.

I think it is safe to say that the Porsche 918 Spyder stole the show 918 different ways. Will it be hard to wait three and a half years for the 918 to show up in Los Angeles? Sure... but great things come to those who wait!

Porsche 918 Spyder in California!

Last month Porsche announced that it would build the up till then "concept" 918 Spyder. Since then the excitement has been heating up. Every boy (and many a girl) with a Porsche dream is waiting with bated breath for the Super-car's appearance. Well for those on the left coast the wait is almost over!

Jay Huffschmidt, Marketing Manager from Beverly Hills Porsche will be heading up north this weekend as the recently approved Porsche 918 Spyder makes its North American debut at the Monterey Historic Weekend. Jay will be on hand to greet our VIP clients as they get an up close look at the future of Porsche.

The 918 Spyder is part of Porsche’s lavish display, marking its 60th anniversary in North America. Also featured is the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car. Both models can be seen at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, August 15.

Porsche's past will also be represented. Four rare classics will be flown out from the Porsche Museum in Germany to be showcased in Monterey. They will include examples of the 356 Speedster from 1955 and 1958, as well as a 1960 356 B Carrera 2000 GS Carrera GT and a 1962 356 Carrera 2 Cabrio.

“Automotive passion is always alive and thriving within the Porsche community, but it’s particularly heated at this extraordinary event,” said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America.“Where else can you see the evolution of Porsche in America so magnificently displayed, from early sports cars like our 356 through our newest intelligence performance powerhouse, the 918 Spyder?”

The 918 Spyder concept will make a public appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 15. Also Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will be showcased on August 12-15 at the Porsche Zentrum. Lastly 911 GT3 R Hybrid will be seen at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Porsche Builds the 25,000th Panamera

Even in the USA, a country with a preference for V8 engines, they impress with their efficiency and sportiness. The 4-door combines these aspects with the comfort and exclusivity of the luxury class,” says Porsche Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Bernhard Maier. The fourth series has been on the market since September 2009, with the 400-hp strong 8-cylinder variants of the Panamera S and Panamera 4S, as well as Panamera Turbo (500 hp). Porsche 918 Spyder Super Car, No Longer Just a Concept

Beverly Hills Porsche is pleased to announce the Porsche 918 Spyder has been green lighted for development and production. The concept car that has had the showroom and all of Los Angeles buzzing with anticipation is finally announced as a reality.

In a press release issued today, Porsche confirmed its intentions to build the super car. The 918 Spyder will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid power-train that consists of two electric motors located on the front and rear axle with a combined output of 218 HP and a 3.4L V8 gasoline engine which is mid-mounted and could develop 500 HP. This leads to an incredible estimated total power output of 718 HP.

With this hybrid power-train the Porsche 918 should be able to sprint from 0 to 62 MPH in just 3.2 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 198 MPH. Porsche claims this hybrid super-car will return a fuel consumption of 78 mpg with a CO2 emissions level of just 79 g/km.

Early guess-ti-ments the Porsche 918 spyder will be priced at around $630,000.

In its session today, the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, gave the green light for series development of the Porsche 918 Spyder. Reflecting the overwhelming response from the public and customers to the Concept Study, the Supervisory Board gave Porsche’s Board of Management the mission to develop a production model based on the car already presented. This concept version of an ultra-high-performance mid-engined sports car with plug-in hybrid technology made its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and at Auto China in Bejing, hitting the headlines worldwide. Michael Macht, President and Chairman of the Board of Management of Porsche AG: “Production of the 918 Spyder in a limited series proves that we are taking the right approach with Porsche Intelligent Performance featuring the combination of supreme performance and efficient drivetrain concepts. We will develop the 918 Spyder in Weissach and assemble it in Zuffenhausen. 911 Turbo S Now On Sale at Beverly Hills Porsche

After an absence of five years, the Turbo S has returned to Beverly Hills Porsche's 911 lineup.

With 530 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque pumping to all four wheels from its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat six, the new Turbo S redefines the colloquialism "stupid fast".

The 911 Turbo S can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 195mph.

The S gets as standard several key performance options from the “base” Turbo’s list of extras, including carbon-ceramic brakes, a torque-vectoring function for the stability control, Porsche’s excellent seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, and the Sport Chrono Turbo package. The latter includes an on-dash chronometer, dynamic engine mounts, and a Sport Plus button for the PDK gearbox.

We are happy to announce that the all new 2011 Porsche Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo have finally arrived at Beverly Hills Porsche.

The exterior of the new Cayenne follows in Porsche’s philosophy of evolutionary design, but the 2011 model does feature a much sleeker appearance than the current Cayenne, thanks to more organic body lines.

With a redesigned interior, following Panamera cues, the 2011 Cayenne sports a new and longer center console and a repositioned shift-knob. Overall, nearly everything has been freshened and tweaked, including placement of the center air vents, sportier gauges and a new steering wheel.

The Cayenne Turbo sits atop the Cayenne hierarchy, receiving its power via a 500 horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.8L V8. Boasting a 0-60 time of under 4.4 seconds.

The Cayenne S delivers 400 bhp from it's 4.8L V8 propelling it to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds.
